Hi there. It's been quite a while since I posted here, but I'm still alive and kicking stronger than ever.
I haven't posted anything here because I've been focusing on other music projects like playing with my reggae bands Ancestree and Foggy Dubz. But now I'm taking it all on the road and bringing jams. Country-music style.
I moved out of my SF apartment in March of this year, and I've been rebuilding an 80's Toyota motorhome to travel around the country in and play music in every state. After listening to Hank Williams Sr. on repeat, I started working on a whole new sound. I just put together a demo yesterday called: Let It Ride, and there will be a full length album to follow in 2020.
My Home On Wheels
It has been quite a ride so far too. When I got Yoté, the 1989 Toyota Dolphin, I was suprised to find severe water damage, and that entire sections of the wooden frame were rotted away. After demoing and redoing most of the overcab and large sections of wall; ripping out and replacing the floor, blinds, wallpaper; sealing and painting the outside of the whole vehicle (still need to paint the inside); welding some airshocks underneath; changing and bleeding the brakes; fixing the propane heater and fridge; replacing the water tank and large sections of plumbing; redoing all of the electricals; and of course, updating the sound system... Yoté has come a long way. :-D (I'm sure I missed a few things there). As you can tell it's been a huge learning experience.
Maybe I'll make a full post on the rebuild process when I get time. But here's a google photo album with photos I've taken along the way so far: Yoté the RV 2019.
